π 2025 TVG Pi Day Celebration 🍕
Event Details
Please log your “Will Attend” at GCB1R35!
March 14. The date when it’s most cool to be a geek. The date when irrationality is a most respected quality. The date when friends gather together for no other reason but to celebrate their favorite transcendental number and Albert Einstein’s birthday.
Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (the 3rd month) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π. It was founded in 1988 by Larry Shaw, an employee of the San Francisco science museum, the Exploratorium.
Larry Shaw & the first Pi Day celebration
Join your fellow cachers and celebrate Pi Day with pizza pi(e) and geo chat. Join us at:
Pizza Inn
1501 Oak Ridge Turnpike, Oak Ridge, TN 37830
6:00-8:00 pm
We have reserved one of the party rooms. It will be great to meet with caching friends, old and new, catch up on stories of cache adventures, and just hang out. There will probably be geocoins and trackables to trade and/or discover, door prizes, and you will earn a souvenir for your geocaching profile!
PLEASE post your "Will Attend" and the number in your party as early as possible in case we need to reserve extra space.
No purchase required if you just wanna hang out and commune, but the buffet is quite tasty. All are welcome and we look forward to spilling ink with you.
Cache ya there!
